    Disease and its Cure Information

A major challenge in today’s fast paced world is to diagnose diseases which are rare.
Most of us are not able to get a proper diagnosis done, some are diagnosed incorrectly.

Today we have so many diseases which are very new, rare and difficult to cure. For instance, heart disease gets complicated when it gets associated with diabetes. But the patient can reduce the impact of each disease over the other by sticking to a strict diabetic diet. Diet which is healthy, low fat and balanced can be very helpful in preventing the disease getting acute and becoming serious.

The diabetic food chart shows that by consuming healthy food which is rich in proteins and low in carbohydrate, can help in controlling diabetes.

Few diseases can be diagnosed, and cured. If not the intensity of the disease can be reduced by taking measures like proper health check up, food habits, exercise etc.

However, there are few diseases, whose very name brings fear in our mind. One such disease is Cancer. Cancer is such a disease which does not begin instantly. It is a process that has been going in the body for a very long period of time. Cells in the healthy body starts getting damaged over a period of time, resulting in Cancer.
Cancer can be due to several factors. It can be heredity, and also due to attitudes, habits, excesses, nutrition deprivation, polluted environment and stresses. Also, various carcinogens factors like radiation, pesticides, toxic chemicals, dioxins, and asbestos can also lead towards cancer. Cancer is a enzyme deficiency disease. When the body does intoxicate automatically and the cells stops building essential materials to reconstruct the damaged cells, it leads towards Cancer.
One main cause of cancer is replacement of oxidation of sugar in the body by fermentation of sugar.

Cure to Cancer is a very big word. Doctors who treat Cancer believe that the way to cancer cure is to reduce the cause and not the symptom. Our body produces toxins. Our immune system cannot operate fully when these fills our body and the disease develop. We need to take care of our immune system to fight again any kind of disease.

Almost all patients suffering from Cancer are treated by radiation. It is the most effective way of treating cancer. There are other methods which can kill, stop or disable the growth of cancerous cells. However, radiation uses ionization which kills the cancer cells and prevents its growth.

Chemotherapy is another way of treating cancer. It helps in destroying cancer cells and stop it from spreading in the body. But in this process some healthy cells might also get damaged.

Almost all diseases are curable, if not they can at least be prevented or the intensity be reduced by timely action. All we need to do is to pay attention to the slightest discomfort in our body. Timely diagnoses and preventive measures can save us from falling into the trap of life ending diseases.

This disease refers to the clogging or narrowing of blood vessels or arteries due to the accumulation of plague or fats on the walls of the arteries. CHD is one of the leading causes of death in recent times.

Some of the risk factors associated with CHD are hypertension, high blood cholesterol, obesity, smoking, alcohol, diabetes and leading a sedentary lifestyle.

Treatment:  With proper diagnosis and treatment coronary heart disease can be managed and heart function can be improved dramatically. Treatment consists of mainly medicines and in severe cases surgery.

Some of the commonly used medicines to manage CHD are low-dose aspirin, anticoagulants, statins (Statins are cholesterol- lowering medicines), beta blockers, ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme)  inhibitors,  nitrates, anti-arrhythmic medicine(used to control rhythm of the heart), and cardio glycosides( these strenghthen and slow the heart beat).

Surgical procedures are used when symptoms of the disease can be controlled using medications and when fatty deposits are heavy on the arteries. The main form of surgical treatment is coronary angioplasty and coronary artery bypass and lastly a heart transplant can be performed when the previous two surgical procedures are not successful.

    healthy life with vaccinations Information

Did you know that many funds assume vaccination costs? If you need nowadays a vaccination short time bevor you travel to tropics and subtropics areas - no problem. The possibility to visit distant countries is now as easy as never before. Dangerous infections do not alone sidle up to travelers in tropics and subtropics. Many tourists appreciate the fact that infectious diseases in southern countries who do not belong to tropic and subtropic areas can also sidle up. People from countries where certain infectious diseases no longer occur, travel without the necessary protection. Some “catched” infections are fatal or deadly, others can cause lifelong damage. Many health insurance agencies have recognized this threat and offer increased the costs of travel vaccinations. Through preventive measures, as in most cases a vaccination before departure, the risk of infectious disease will be reduced or even banished.

Here is a list of travel vaccinations for the following diseases:

    ▪ cholera

    ▪ FSME tick meningitis

    ▪ yellow Hepatitis A and B,

    ▪ malaria

    ▪ meningococcal meningitis,

    ▪ rabies,

    AIDS

    24/01/09

    aids Information

    1. What is AIDS?

Beginning of the 80s were the first cases of a new, fatal disease described for the first gave no explanation. This disease, it was found after a short time to research, brings a disastrous weakening of the body’s own immune system, the immune system, with it: The man is helpless against pathogens, bacteria or viruses that a healthy person with a healthy immune system easily can defend. They called this disease: Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, abbreviated: AIDS. AIDS has in fact not a single disease, but can be more than 20 diseases such as influenza, pneumonia, tumors, etc., fatal act. The pathogen that causes AIDS, found the mid-80s, American and French immunologists. It is a virus, which they called HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). After an infection with the virus, the body known as antibodies against the virus, he succeeded but not to destroy the virus.

    2. As you infected?

The virus is mainly in body fluids before: in the blood in the semen in the vaginal fluid in the breast milk, even in saliva and tears in the virus-infected people. The infection is carried out by the transfer of these liquids from one to the other body. The virus eventually reaches into the bloodstream of another person. There it can go through: - open skin injuries - the mucous membranes of the mouth, vagina, penis or after - a direct transfer of blood, for example through a syringe at needle of drug addicts or a transfusion with infected blood, - transfer of mother to child during pregnancy or birth (surprisingly, is the transfer of risk, as we now know, “only” about 15-25%), - breast milk during the breastfeeding Infant. In urine, feces, saliva and tears are only small amounts of virus. Therefore, through this body fluids, after all, what we know, no contagion made. When blood is in a regular, medical care and operation of only a very low risk, infected with HIV to be. This risk follows from the so-called “Diagnostic gap”: If a blood donor shortly before the infected blood, the HIV test, the course of each blood transfusion is done, his infection is not new, since humans have no antibodies has formed.

    3. What happens after infection?

People who are infected with the HIV can usually have many years of symptom-free life. The infection does not lead so quickly to the disease AIDS and infectious as it is not visible from outside. However, If the infected after a few weeks contagious. Although there are no complaints, made soon after the weakening of the immune system. AIDS is a disease which by the subsequent complaints and organ defects is defined. 50% of infected people fall ill within 10 years.

    4. Who is most at risk?

There are several reasons that mostly men become infected with the men have sexual intercourse. Since the intestinal mucosa is particularly vulnerable, can be anal infection easily done. There are also about the high percentage of homosexual and bisexual men to a promiscuous lifestyle back. Particularly at risk are residents of those countries where HIV is widespread, to which the awareness about the infection routes and threats but not penetrated, such as in Africa, South America, Southeast Asia. Intravenous drug addicts are a high risk of infection if they share syringes. Diagnostic hole: First 4-6 months after infection can be ascertained that a man who is HIV positive. During this time increases the concentration of virus. The man is now particularly infectious to other people all. This is followed by the asymptomatic phase, the years can go on forever. The immune system and keep the virus is a kind of delicate balance. Why this stage in some infected people continues much longer, than in others, has not yet been clarified. Doctors may without the consent of the patient does not make AIDS test (though this is still sometimes the case). Doctors can not refuse an HIV-positive to operate. Openness are HIV-infected person compared with only obliged, in contact with the infected person concerned is threatened. Help for HIV-Infected: The cost for a test, the cost of medical care for HIV-infected people and usually very high cost of AIDS by the health insurance or social welfare offices over. In the state prevention work is currently saved. There are, however, except for the state and non-governmental organizations, such as “Beacon” or “Big Spender”, which is trying to prevent, and it can make those infected, more psychological, social or medical advice to get. Often, group meetings or sporting events organized on which the parties freely and not be discriminated against. Such offers are anonymous and free. The working team there is bound to secrecy. The financing of such institutions is often only through donations and charity events possible.

    5. About our dealing with AIDS

AIDS is a disease, for until now found no antidote, and in most cases results in death, it is only once every one of us fear. At that fear is often the uncertainty added, stems from ignorance. Through media reports, we will more often confronted with horror stories as factually enlightened, so the fear is rather larger, and thus be more prejudices. With AIDS to live, is a major burden for those affected and their fellow human beings. Suddenly they see in front of problems and thoughts of death, disability, loss of love, social isolation and death, which is otherwise rather pushes aside. Why had this happened to me specifically? Or: How can I help and support? To cope with the disease itself and its aftermath deal and against the censure and reservations in the society this situation, we must always strength, courage, determination and needs the support of others. Relatives and friends who care concerned, you can out of fear of negative reactions their worries and fears are often shared with anyone. Life partners, who themselves are HIV positive, care is often up to the last minute to meet their deadly ill friend, and get such a cruel manner with which their fate in a few months, perhaps even imminent. For the employer or work colleagues, are HIV-infected people not to risk, many reports still concerned about problems in the workplace after their infection was acquired. Another it meet increasing their holdings of HIV-positive employees with great respect and sensitivity. The reactions at the workplace is often not safe to predict. Reality is unfortunately still often a classification of HIV-infected people after the “restorative justice” principle. On one side are those who due to their not socially accepted lifestyle actively infected with the virus, although this but would have been avoidable. An example of this are homosexuals. Because they are not fully accepted by society will live many of them, especially in the sexual area, according to its own standards. The unprotected one lives, the more likely it is that you infect. On the other hand, the group that because of their need for medical treatment (blood) are victims of a hitherto unknown infectious disease. These subjects are often accepted in society and in contrast to those who are “self-blame” are pitied.

    Leprosy

    24/01/09

    leprosy Information

    1. The agents of leprosy Leprosy is the oldest known infectious disease. The name of leprosy comes from the Greek and means scaly, rough. The Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease that is caused by bacteria. The exact pathogen called mycobacterium is a leprosy and the related tuberkelbacillus, acid-resistant rods. He was discovered by the Norwegian professor A. Hansen in 1873.

    2. How is leprosy?

There are three main types of leprosy. The L-, T-and B-leprosy. Lepromatoese leprosy (L-leprosy): The skin is fuzzy, reddish spots, and the disease leads to the loss of eyebrows. In the course leads to the thickening of the underlying superficial nerves and a permanent bone resorption leads to mutilation. Tuberkuloide leprosy (T-leprosy): Early thickening of the superficial nerves show an underlying illness at the T-leprosy to. There will be individual, sharply limited herds on the skin to hair loss and lack perspiration secrete. Borderline leprosy (B-leprosy): It comes to similar consequences as in the T-leprosy, only that the skin with blurred edges and the middle with a low center of identification. The course of the disease begins with sudden chills and severe ill feeling, coupled with head, limb and calf pain. In some cases it comes to jaundice, but almost always for meningitis. The kidneys are attacked and badly destroyed. There is fever, which is 2 weeks, the jaundice sounds after about 3 weeks. On the skin form is a spoted herd in which the inner flesh and bones begin to rot. There are knots, tubers and swelling, especially in the facial area. Since the nerves of the disease are, there will be sensory disturbances, and by tissue malnutrition arise paralysis and mutilations. The incubation period is usually 2-7 years.

    3. Leprosy is curable?

The cure of leprosy was until the beginning of the 20th Century completely excluded. With great cleanliness was the death as long as possible delayed, but ended up there any guarantees leprosy deadly disease. Today, leprosy through chemotherapy successfully treated, it can predict, however, damage such as paralysis or mutilation would not be undone.

    4. The risk of infection with leprosy

In general, we know not, as in the leprosy infection runs, but there are some theories about. They say the transfer is done by droplet infection, or dirt, which by small animals, such as mice, rats and some insects is triggered. It rarely happens that a man the other ansteckt by him annie him or otherwise infected. The risk of infection is far lower than we have until recently assumed. Only by a long, direct contact with an infectious lepers there mostly to infection. Is it only the hand or go to each other, there is little likelihood of contagion. For the treatment of leprosy serve sulfones Thiosemizarbazone and isoniazid. The leprosy is spread by isolating the sick and better hygienic conditions restricted.

    5. Immunity in leprosy?

Whether one after successfully weathering this difficult illness on the other hand, is immune, or at any time can be contagious, is an outstanding issue. Until recently, the medicine is still of the opinion, each case must leprosy fatal. So did no one think about the immunity. Today it is preparing a vaccine for the disease to explore, but this target is still far from being achieved, because the bacillus has not yet been cultivated.

    6. Additions to the history of leprosy:

Leprosy is not free ‘The oldest infectious disease in the world” called: There is evidence that the leprosy before 4000 years in ancient Egypt occurred, since one of mummies been found scars that are clearly of leprosy had been caused. It was leprosy already 600 years before Christ under the name Krushta known. It was even in the time in an Indian medical treatise mentioned. The stories of leprosy in the Old Testament relate largely to the leprosy. The leprosy spread all over the world, but first in the Far East. Through the sea of the Phoenicians, it was then introduced into the Mediterranean basin. From there, they brought Roman legions to Europe. One historian reported that there was no village and no city in which there is no Leprosarium. At the same time the spread of leprosy Egypt starting all over Africa. From there, it was then brought to the Americas, as the African slaves largely because of bad conditions were infected crossing. Scientifically recognized leprosy was only 1847, by Danielsen, the discovery of the leprosy bacteria by A. Hansen, with its large preliminary investigations made. The lepers and their treatment in Europe during the Middle Ages leprosy was a great danger for all people in the Middle Ages. Whole towns and villages were wiped out by it, millions of lepers moved through the country, from certain death in rags and misery doomed. Therefore, the lepers were banished outside of the cities included in caves or in so-called leprosy confined towers. The leprosy people were merciless from the human society, they were often disinherit or simply no longer exist or declared dead. But because the patients also had some life, they had to beg in the cities or waste of life use. When begging the patients had special clothes leprosy and healthy people from afar to warn of their coming. This was done by rattles and leprosy, which they had to use. Anyone heard this rattling, so he immediately had to escape, so as not to become infected. Although everything in the power of people stood against leprosy has been done (4000 years), she could still not be eradicated. The number of sufferers is estimated today at approximately 11 million.

    Hepatitis

    Hepatitis Information

The disease hepatitis, “hepatitis”, which lately in the media were mentioned, is often underestimated. It is an out-of viruses called acute non-suppurative hepatitis. Originally known 2 species of pathogens, the hepatitis A virus (HAV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV). 2 Virus, which initially could not assign, now called hepatitis C virus (HCV) and hepatitis E virus (HEV). There is probably a lot more of them. On an infection people react differently. First signs of disease occur as to the flu - fatigue, pain and fever. As a result, you can also similar rheumatism symptoms, loss of appetite and jaundice observed. Hepatitis B is well studied molecular biology. If the HB virus in anheftet a liver cell, it reaches through Membranver-MELT into the interior. Immediately, the virus estate with the help of enzymes brought reproduced and the coded instructions executed.

The viruses multiply in the liver cells is very strong in the blood serum of infected patients, the virus concentration at about one billion milligrams per liter rise in the number of virus molecule can amount to over 1000 billion. The propagation speed, and some mechanisms are reminiscent of the HIV virus that cause aids. Many patients survive the infection, the liver is working properly again later. About ten percent of the sufferers are the virus but do not let go. Chronic hepatitis can be very fast on the destruction of liver tissue (cirrhosis) and subsequently lead to death. For chronically infected patients can be found viruses in the blood, saliva, in the seminal fluid and in tissues. Pregnant women can the virus before or during birth to their child pass. This infection remind ways to spread AIDS and hepatitis is actually in the same way as HIV transmitted in the past by poorly controlled blood. Under drug addicts the intended non-sterile syringes and other HIV-risk groups are usually a high contaminated with hepatitis viruses. Cirrhosis and liver cancer in these populations clearly widespread.

In 1970, when the world population was about 3.5 billion, because we calculated an accurate assessment 175 million infected people - that is still 5 percent. In China, Southeast Asia, Africa and large parts of some indigenous populations in Greenland was found infection rates of up to twenty percent. As allready told infected have a high risk of developing liver cancer. It is estimated that worldwide annually at least half a million people die from liver cancer, most of them associated with hepatitis.
